A poem written for the Grand Summer Picnic!

    Picnic in the Sunshine

    Picnic in the sunshine
    No finer place to be
    Lounging in the flowers
    Beside the apple trees

    Full, the wicker hamper
    With tasty tender treats
    Drink is flowing freely
    There's plenty there to eat

    Soft, the chequered blanket
    That lies upon the ground
    Hobbits are relaxing
    You friends are all around

    Games are good for playing
Once all the food is done
    Run into the meadows
    Celebrate the sun

    Sit back on the blanket
It's time to hear a song
    Have another drink then
    It's time to sing along

    When the picnic's over
And home's the place to be
    'Though the basket's empty
    You're filled with memories

    Picnic in the sunshine
    No finer place to be
    Lounging in the flowers
    Beside the apple trees
Tibba, Lully, Sevelda and 6 others like this.

Yay! As long as them hobbits don't run into the apple trees!
